Subject: A real problem with illegals in Ascension Parish
To the administration of Ascension Parish et al,
I have been trying for months to get all of you to realize that we have a
problem here in Ascension Parish regarding illegal aliens.
Other states have put into effect laws and ordinances fining those who rent and
hire illegals and it's working. This is exactly what I suggested months ago. On
the other hand those leaving those states, especially Texas, are forcing more
and more illegals to Louisiana. And Ascension Parish is getting their fare share
as the word is out among illegals that we are a safe haven for them.
The influx of illegals is putting a real burden on the parish including law
enforcement, schools, welfare, and other agencies and this is on top of the
influx of people from the storms last year.
It is evident that we will not get any help from immigration any time soon so
that leaves it up to you to do something about it. Yet not one of you in this
administration has had the gumption to address the problem nor do I believe you
will. If your scared say your scared, give up your position and turn it over to
someone who will do something about it.
