Dear Sir:
I am putting you on notice of traffic laws being flagrantly ignored by motorists using Cornerview Road in Ascension Parish.
At any time, day or night, you can view motorists speeding, and crossing double yellow lines in the dangerous curves that exist on this road. The reason for this flagrant exploitation, in my opinion, is that I have yet to view one Ascension Parish Patrol vehicle and/or deputy issuing a traffic violation on this road.
While I point out a particular part of this road for traffic violations be advised that violations exist the entire length of Cornerview Road under the Ascension Sheriff Departments jurisdiction.
It is my opinion that the lack of traffic law enforcement in this parish has contributed greatly to the fact that 157 souls have been needlessly killed on parish roads from 1995 through 2002, dates that closely concur with the present law enforcement administration.
I would appreciate it, and I’m sure the great majority of parish residents would also, if you would patrol this road more often to hopefully reduce the carnage running rampant on Ascension Parish roads.
Be advised, if there is any property damage, injury, or death after the date of this notice on Cornerview Road because of the safety issues described in this letter that I will do my utmost to bring this notice to the attention of those involved and their attorneys.
