Harold,

I would like to bring to your attention the lack of accessibility that exists with some of your council members.

Emails sent to some are not read for weeks at a time. Take for example an email sent on September 2^nd to rloupe et al, and not read by council member Darnell Matinez until September 30^th.

q      This receipt verifies that the message has been displayed on the recipient's computer at 9/30/01 9:35 AM

This is a prime example of my view that we need a better form of representation for parish residents.

Mr. Martinez and other council members hold a full time jobs making them unavailable during normal business hours. Add to this the fact that emails and other forms of contact go ignored for weeks on end. This in my opinion makes your council totally unproductive.

This email example is not an isolated case. There are more examples of non-response by council members from parish residents on my web sites feedback pages.

We had at one time discussed the possibility of council members at large. I, and I’m sure other parish residents, would be very much in favor of this.
