Subject: This so called guest worker program

I have been contacted by a Mr. Harold Magee with regards to the Guest Worker Program as he likes to say is the politically correct way of putting it. Let me just ad that he is not for this idea.

As far as I know there is no guest worker program. The Senate refused to pass it. Mainly because of the uproar made by U.S. citizens. Let me ask one question. What part of illegal is not understood by our government, courts, local officials, and all these bleeding hearts that want to give illegals amnesty? I've yet to figure this out.

Now, with that out of the way let me make myself explicitly clear on my stand on illegal aliens.

First:
Our borders need to be closed so that no one can enter this country illegally.

Second:
Each and every illegal needs to be deported from whence they came. During the depression Roosevelt deported two million aliens, and Eisenhower deported six million during his presidency. So I know that we can get rid of twelve million with today's technology.

Third:
Change the law so that so called anchor babies are deported along with their parents and not allowed to re-enter the U.S. until their 21st birthday if they so desire as long as they can pass a thorough criminal investigation.

Fourth:
Then and only then only allow immigrants into this country who have gone through the proper channels, made out the proper paperwork, and passed a thorough criminal investigation that will allow them to stay in this country full time to become a citizen, be able to speak the English language well enough to pass the required test , pay taxes, and be held accountable to our laws and regulations.

My great grandfather and my grandfather had to do this when they came through Ellis Island as did millions of other immigrants during the 1800's. I don't know about the other ethnic groups entering the country at that time but Italians took great offense to being called WOPS. This stood for and still does mean With Out Papers. Another words they were proud to be here becoming good citizens.

This crap of coming here, staying so long, going back from whence they came, paying a fine, and coming back is just that crap. How many of the millions here do you really think will do that? I know if I was presented with this and already in this country I would fall over laughing.

Finally, in the meantime it will be up to local municipalities to round up these illegals by any legal means at their disposal, put them behind bars to have a record of them, and force the government agencies in charge of immigration to do their job to come get them and deport them.

Let this also be a warning to the incoming Ascension Parish administration. Be prepared for some very negative publicity from this website if you are against doing all that can be done to remedy this very serious problem.
