Sirs:
With receipt of this letter, consider the Ascension Parish School Board put on notice as to the unsafe conditions existing at the Dutchtown School gym using the description that follows.
I point out the lack of sufficient ventilation in this building allowing temperatures in this building to exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit without considering a heat index making this building, in my opinion, a ticking time bomb for serious injury or death.
Be advised if there is any injury, heat exhaustion, or god forbid deaths after the date of this notice do to the dangers I have listed, that I will do my utmost to bring those responsible before a court of law on criminal charges.
I am sure you are aware that temperatures this year have been in excess of 95 degrees Fahrenheit with a heat index in excess of 106 degrees Fahrenheit.
You and your school board have been put on notice of these dangers for the past three years by me and the health department with little to nothing being done to remedy the dangerous situation. You are, in my opinion, flirting with the health and safety of our students, and it is just a matter of time before their luck runs out.
