Hi Mr. Chuck,
Visited your site again, good work on site.
Just an update on the striping of roads, we have just ordered a new striping
machine to help us assist on that matter.
Also as you know Mr. Buster Brown has left and you still have on your site.
Also the approval to widen and putting turn lanes (on St. Landry Rd.)on the
last meeting was done by the council and I made a statment on record that I was
not in agreement that this was done thru the prority process. And myself and DPW
Director, Bill Roux, did not approve of this as a top prority. We have much more
serious road problems ,like LA73 & LA74 intersection, LA42, LA621, LA431,
Roddy Rd.,Cannon Rd., LA73, Swamp Rd., Black Bayou, and many, many ,many more.
But this project, St. Landry Rd.,was on the master road list to do in our
Ascension 2020 (which council still has not seen).
I am committed to proceed with the master road plan, But I have to continue
to try to work with the Council for the people's sake. I LOVE Ascension Parish,
but I will not let politics hold us as hostages. I know I want to work with the
Council, but do they really want to work with me. The Question is still out for
an Answer, But I must rise above this and continue on.
This is very helpful for the people to have a way to exprees themselves. Keep
up the work and if we can be assist together on something, again please call.
