On Sunday July 25th it rained. See the pictures below.

This email was again sent to all in Ascension Parish concerned with traffic safety, including and especially the Ascension Parish Sheriff Department.

July 25, 2000

Dear Sir or Madam:

I again bring the serious safety conditions that exist on St Landry Road.

The following pictures were taken today, July 23rd, after a rain storm. You will notice that the road is covered with SLIPPERY mud and gravel being deposited by construction vehicles entering and exiting the convention center construction site.

This being a Sunday no further mud will be deposited by construction vehicles. But, if you will take the time to investigate tomorrow, Monday July 24th, I'd be willing to say that much more mud and debris will be added to an already dangerous situation.

It is my observation after reporting this issue twice this week to the Ascension Parish Sheriff Dept, and once to others listed in this email, that IMMEDIACY is not a factor when it comes to reports of safety issues that could cause serious injury or death.

With that said please view the attached pictures that better explain a serious safety issue that will hopefully convince someone to act immediately.
