I have been asked to step in for Mr. Bobby Sullivan with reference to your drainage ditch which runs across his property at 13066 Depen St in the Hillshire subdivision in Gonzales. This subject has been brought to your attention numerous times with no results.
This ditch has eroded so much that what used to be 18 inches across is now as much as eight feet in some places. The erosion is so much so that it is now eroding his driveway and fence as the attached pictures show. On top of this there is a multitude of snakes and rats not to mention the stench when the conditions are right.
The neighbors on each side of Mr. Sullivan’s property are also complaining of sewer water seepage on there property because of the vegetation growing in the ditch restricting drainage on the back of their property which I believe is the responsibility of the Gonzales D.P.W..
The situation has already caused major property damage and the possibility of major health issues. Because of this it is Mr. Sullivan’s intention to take this matter to court and have the permission granted to you when the initial ditch was created revoked and have the ditch filled in, and to ask for monetary damages.
